Introduction
Employee engagement is a concept that express the level of enthusiasm and dedication toward their job. Their concern about work and about the performance of the company, and feel that their efforts make a difference.
Robinson, et al. (2004) define employee engagement as a positive attitude held by the employee towards the organization and its value. An engaged employee is aware of business context, and works with colleagues to improve performance within the job for the benefit of the organization. The organization must work to develop and nurture engagement, which requires a two-way relationship between employer and employee.

According to the Gallup (2017) report has been described the characteristic of the employee who engagement to the company.

Economic growth and expansion have allowed more opportunity to invest in people despite continued competitive disruption. The first half of 2020 has been challenging due to Covid 19 for all over the world. But there is wake up in 2020.

Employee engagement in ABC Company in Sri Lanka
As a leading telecommunication company in Sri Lanka, ABC Company engaging with employees and creating clear objectives of communication with them are essential. ABC has worked to improve the employee experience. As a major point changing old policies to keep up with the rapidly changing digital economy by introducing a work from nearest office pilot project, policy for flexible working hours, and automating the performance management process are important things.
Employees have different ways to reach out to our employees, including departmental meetings, briefings, community projects, newsletters. An HR blog offers employees an outlet through which they can offer insight and comment and suggest on HR related matter.
Employee satisfaction was measured on a quarterly basis through an employee survey throughout the year; parameters that were measured survey included IT infrastructure and system availability to employees, working environment, work patterns, supervisory leadership, support obtained.
Company continuing improve the work-life balance of our employees through initiatives such as the sport activities, and awareness programmes aimed at improving relationships amongst regional staff.
Conclusion
Company management should take the actions to care of the employees in the way that they should feel valued and involved in the work. If Employees are engaged they are inspired to go above and beyond the tasks to meet organizational requirements. Further, they reinforce and support the organization “culture and values.

As you said employees engagement will impact on profitability, revenue, customer experience, employee turnover of the organization. As a practice measuring the employee engagement like conducting survey is very important to the organization.

The importance of employee engagement can't be overstated – employee engagement strategies have been proven to reduce staff turnover, improve productivity and efficiency, retain customers at a higher rate, and make more profits. Most importantly, engaged employees are happier, both at work and in their lives.
