Why is Job design important for company
Introduction
Jobs are changing faster than ever and new jobs are invented every day .Hence Job design is one of the core function of the human resource in this environment.
Job design can be defined as “the specification of the contents, methods, and relationships of jobs in order to satisfy technological and organizational requirements as well as the social and personal requirements of the job holder” (Armstrong, 2003).

Job Rotation
Job rotation refers to a systematic shifting of employees from one job to another and, in most cases, over prearranged intervals (Dessler and Varkkey, 2009)
Job Enrichment
Job enrichment refers to the development of work practices that challenge and motivate employees to perform better (Durai, 2010, p. 92).
Job Enlargement
Dessler (2005) views job enlargement as an activity that entails assigning workers additional same level activities thus increasing the number of activities they perform.
Advantages of Job Design

Job design in Global context
According to the Samsung (2016) report maintaining a highly ergonomic work environment where employees can work in safety and in health, Samsung analyzes the risk in all its manufacturing processes, identifies tasks to be improved upon, and strengthens the manufacturing process. Achieving good job design involves administrative practices that determine what the employee does, for how long, where, and when as well as giving the employees choice where ever possible.

Job design is very important function of staffing. If the jobs are designed properly then highly efficient staff will join the organization. They will be motivated to improve the productivity and profitability of the organization.

Author has shown job design is affects the organisational effectiveness. It also plays an important role in improving quality of working life. It designs the tasks required to complete the job successfully. Job design is affected by many factors such as external environment, organisational structure, state of technology and behavioural patterns, downsizing.
